Encouragements from a trip to Israel from 21st till 28th of May 2003

Dear Mister Sharon,

Shalom, blessings and warm greetings from Holland. We pray that you, will be filled with wisdom, strength and happiness to reign the country of Israel especially in this time. We love you and the people of Israel.

We are a group of re-born believing pastors/ elders/ leaders from Holland and Belgium (who believe in the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God, and in Yeshua as Messiah). When we came to faith the Spirit of God poured in our hearts a great love for the Jewish people and the land of Israel. We ourselves are pastors or chairman of congregations and ministries, responsible for congregations and ministries representing many reborn believers in Holland (and Belgium).

Tomorrow a group of 16 pastors of us will leave for Israel again to show our encouragement to you and the people of Israel (and also to the settlements in the Yesha area). In this way we want to show that we stand behind you and that we love you with all of our hearts. We want to say that we stand next to you. In this we represent many believers in The Netherlands.  

During our stay in Israel we will travel around the country and will encourage the people we meet. We plan to visit Jerusalem and settlements in Shomron, Judea and Gush Katif, furthermore the places Tiberias, Afula, Tel Aviv.  We also plan to visit the victims of the latest bomb attacks in Jerusalem.


Next we want to express that, in contrast what the EU tells, we really oppose the 'road map' plan, designed by the USA, the UN, the EU and Russia, that would end up in dismantling the settlements in Shomron, Yehudea and Gaza Strip, and creation of a Palestinian state within the borders of Eretz Israel. That state would not only be a disaster for Israel but also for the designers of such a plan as we can read the words of God in Joel 3:2 "I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided My land." The land of Israel which all these countries want to divide is the land which God gave to the Jewish people as eternal heritage. We stand behind you in your point of view that all these countries can not decide what is good for the safety of the State of Israel.

We believe:

That the Jewish people are the chosen people of God, whom He deeply loves (Zechariah 2: "Surely, he that toucheth you, toucheth the apple of His eye"). ( Is 54;10).
That God brought the people of Israel back to the land of Israel as a fulfilment of prophecies, written in the Bible. (Yirmeyahu 42:31).
Building settlements in Shomron etc. is according to the will of God as it is written in the Bible (Amos 9:11-15 and Yirmeyahu 31:1-17).
Jerusalem is the eternal God given capital to the Jewish people
The battle against Israel is actually a battle against (the promises of) God. (Zach. 8:3 en Ps. 132:13).
You will know that the God of Israel lives and that He (the Creator of heaven and earth) loves you and will bring justice. (Yirmeyahu 33:6).
There will be no peace by giving a state to the Palestinians within the God given borders of Israel (or giving the Golan to the Syrians) . Peace can be in Israel when the Palestinians accept Israelian government in the whole land of Israel (so including Shomron, Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and Golan).
